PROJECT OWNER:  ROSEBUD SIOUX TRIBE—TEA-21

Aaron Swan and Associates performed their hydraulic analysis for this project using the USGS Water Resources Investigations 35-74, A Method for Estimating Magnitude and Frequency of Floods in South Dakota , prepared for the South Dakota Department of Transportation in cooperation with the Unite States Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration.  This criterion was used to calculate the water surface elevations and flow volumes through the proposed structure for 50 year and 100 year storm events.

Drainage area, average slopes and elevations were determined using the USGS 7˝ minute quadrangle maps and local hydraulics survey was performed by Aaron Swan and Associates.  The analyses were performed for the design, location and channel protection for a bridge structure over the Phiester Creek on the Rosebud Indian Reservation.
