Aaron Swan and Associates has provided Engineering Contract Administration for all types of projects for many different agencies. This includes Tribal 638 Contracts, BIA Road and Bridge Projects, Federal Aviation Airport Improvement Projects, IHS Hospital and Clinic Project and BIA School Projects.

Aaron Swan and Associates routinely perform the following duties: 

  1. Appoint a Contracting Officer to perform the duties as defined in the Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects FP-03.

  2. Bid, negotiate and award contracts to subcontractors needed to complete the project.

  3. Conduct pre-construction conference and document pertinent information.

  4. Direct the activities and work of subcontractors in accordance with the contract budget and performance period.

  5. Attend periodic construction meetings and keep notes of the meeting.

  6. Provide a schedule on the construction and any updates as they occur.

  7. Maintain a record of shop drawing submittals and RFI’s.

  8. Approve and make payments to subcontractors.

  9. Approve contract modifications with subcontractors.

  10. Submit all required documents to BIA.
